Introducing BEAU COOPS

Right down to its moniker Beau - denoting a stylish man, and Coops - in reference to the designer and creator of the House of Last Carrie Cooper, Beau Coops is a brand reflecting a coming together of ideas and styles.
The Beau Coops agenda is simple : to offer both Men and Women beautifully designed footwear and accessories at a mid-market price point. Beau Coops represents a lifestyle of comfort, quality, and style. Designed to weather the storms of fashion fads, these classic values result in designs that will last a lifetime.

Designer Cooper hails from New Zealand, but it was the eight years spent living in in London as footwear designer for Eley Kishimoto, Bernhard Willhelm, and Alexander McQueen that helped inspire the Beau Coops debut solo collection. Made in Italy with origins of inspiration from Coopers former East London neighborhood 'London Fields', Beau Coops embodies what the designer calls 'boyfriend chic' - reminiscent of that special piece borrowed from a loved one, that makes you feel just 'so' when you wear it.

AW10 - 'FALL STAND & DELIVER'
The debut collection harks back to Charlie Chaplin's hobo style, slashed with punk elements. For men, comes a collection ranging in scope from a tongue-in-cheek, mens lounge slipper, aptly named 'The Heff', to an ultra cool, sleek line of trainers ('Wyndem'), all handmade in Italy. Punk elements come to the fore in 'Antwerp', Beau Coops' thick-soled, utilitarian boot - referencing early 20th century military footwear with the use of wool felt panelling.
Womenswear styles have been built upon a solid base of understated chic. 'Less is sex', according to Cooper's credo, and these styles, though sometimes towering in height, are always simplified in silhouette - offering Beau Coops girls a strong and confident, yet thoroughly wearable, look.
An intrinsic London sensibility shows through in the 'Beau' series, an ode to all things everyday, chic and comfortable. Handmade in Italy, these styles were inspired by a pair of turn-of-the-century shoes Cooper purchased in Paris - making styles in the 'Beau' line truly cosmopolitan and timeless.
Contrasting this elegance, the 'Frankly' series steers the collection in a more youthful, punk direction, with a style that reveals Cooper's love of playing with proportion. Featuring a tall crepe wedge and oversized buckles, combined with luxurious suede uppers, this is not a shoe for the faint at heart!
