Olivier Rousteing, a 25 years old French born fashion designer, raised in Bordeaux. Rousteing completed his fashion studies at ESMOD Paris in 2003 as did his infamous predecessor Christophe Decarnin. Rousteing having recently been appointed the Creative Director of Balmain, was the key deputy of Christophe Decarnin and was in charge of the Balmain Womenswear Studio since 2009. Rousteing willsupervise the design and development of both men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections debuting with the Spring 2012 collection.Rousteing prior to joining Balmain, was the designer for women’s and men’s collections at Roberto Cavalli for 5 years.

• Inspiration – theme: London college girls, Parisian cool, rock chic
• Basic Colors: white, black, navy, blue, grey • Highlights Colors: yellow, royal blue, red
• Prints: zebra iconic print, macro/micro zebra in black and white and colors pop • Fabrics: tailoring fabric, denim, vintage leather, stretch soft leather, fluid jersey, washed cotton and dyed check
• Fitting: oversize and super sexy mixed silhouette. Skinny trousers, draped dress, oversize blouse
MEN COLLECTION:
• Inspiration – theme: rock, chic, boxe and college mood
• Basic Colors: white, black, navy, blue, grey
• Highlights Colors: yellow, royal blue, red (same chromatic palette that woman collection)
• Prints: placed prints on jersey vintage t-shirt
• Fabrics: treated denim, washed leather with a vintage effect, dye check
• Fitting: supper skinning silhouette mixed with oversize items, inspired from the hip hop world
• Denim: biker jeans reviewed as the Maison iconic item
