The trouser and shoe dilemma
October 24, 2011

How many times do you find yourself frantically rummaging through your messy pile of clothes every morning because you refuse to brave the day with bare legs. Instead, you find yourself opting for the classic trouser, shirt option you know will never do wrong. Satisfied with your great choice, you're standing in front of your door with the dilemma of which pair of shoes to wear with your trousers.
Great. Looks like you'll be late again trying to figure out what shoe to pair your outfit with. I know more than anyone how frustrating and difficult it is to find the perfect shoe with the perfect style pant. That's why we've dedicated a whole post in helping you style yourself better every morning you decide against baring your legs in the middle of autumn or spring and instead want to wear your favourite pair of pants.
Amy, assistant designer to Beau Coops models our latest AW12 press showroom pieces (Not to tease - but we've got some really amazing pieces from our showroom this season!)

The skinny pants with the neutral pointy heels
Top: Just Cavalli, Pants: Twenty 8 Twelve, Shoes: Sempre Di
When you feel daring enough to pull on a pair of ankle cut skinny's on, you'll want to team them up with this season's latest trend of point heels. It allows to keep your outfit looking more proportioned and it'll accentuate the skinniest parts of your legs! (your ankles)

The point stilettos and the tuxedo flare
Top: Twenty 8 Twelve, Pants: Twenty 8 Twelve, Shoes: Sempre Di
To complement your tuxedo flare pants you'll definitely need a pair of skinny point stilettos to proportion your outfit. Beware: wearing a rounded toe heel will make you look footless! These Sempre Di heels are absolutely divine!

And me, (Hanah An) for photographing and writing this post.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, think quality well-made essentials with a precious, love-worn feel. Understated but modern, luxe cashmere jumpers, fine cotton voiles, soft denim and chambray shirting in neutral colourways would slip seamlessly into any season-less wardrobe. It’s pared down but very cool, characterised by attention to detail.
The shop fit itself has a warming sense of French rusticity with raw wood, exposed brick and low lighting. Drawers, pockets of storage shelving and lifestyle objects strategically arranged make the store feel more like an inviting home to navigate and explore. The fact that every Loft Design By store is located in village-style environments (the other London store is in leafy Westbourne Grove) only adds to the warm feel.
At the heart of the brand is a desire to create clothes, which are ‘undamaging and respectful towards the environment’. This philosophy is reflected in this year’s charity link-up (in which there is a different collaboration every year) with Earth Restoration Trust. To support the cause, you can pick up a special edition non-treated, printed canvas shopper.
