Basic is the entry-line to the Franklin&Marshall world, and the Vintage American college look that has
always defined the brand. The Basic line is the easy way to wear the branded clothes of the F&M label.

RED LABEL MAN WOMAN FW 08-09
Red Label evolves the Basic line, maintaining but enhancing the sport-college inspiration and the authentic
Franklin&Marshall lifestyle. The mood is elevated to pure Vintage, driven by a more careful search of materials
and treatments, with even greater attention given to detail and finish.
External stitching and carbon sueding age the sweatshirts and T-shirts, giving the fabrics a perfect Vintage look
with new finishes, as classical detail and embroidery concepts are applied in a more evolved way. The 16/1 Jersey
predominates, flanked by new sweatshirts and associations with canvas, tackle twill embroidery and zigzag applications.
Labels appear on the outside of clothing while embroidery and old, broken prints strengthen the Vintage look. Amongst
the innovations, Polos enriched with embroidered studs, multiple neck seams and signatures and labels sewn onto plackets.
Amongst knits, the use of valuable wools such as cashmere, and new labelling for jeans with as many as 3 labels.
New jackets, lightweight for dressing in layers, for maximum outdoor comfort, with fleece, plush, synthetic fur or
gauze linings. For Her, a refined and well-finished Sports line employing new broken embroidery and corrosive techniques,
new inks and fabrics and pin applications. Clothes made with fine, high-quality wools, striped Jerseys and mixed threads.
In the women's Romantic line, sport graphics merge with those of the Wild West. Warmer colours with crocheted embroidery
inserts and details on fabrics with floral and polka dot fantasy prints. Crock and Plastisol printing, all over.

BLACK LABEL MAN WOMAN FW 08-09
Vintage for a new generation, "updated" to the style, look and vinyl covers of the black, soul, disco and dance cultures
that straddled the '70s and '80s. A line with more recent retro references compared to the college world look that places
graphics in the role of protagonist.
No treatments. Here corrosive printing reigns, with attention given to the type of inks used in order to render the images
impalpable in relation to the rest of the pullover. The Graphical line for women is characterised by graphics full of
colour and rhythm, with extensive Plastisol water prints and knitwear decorated with gold details and Jaquard. New print
concepts such as neck ties or bags at waist height printed onto the garments or applications, not previously seen, such
as necklaces, personalised brooches and embroidery placed all over the clothing. Sweats, jerseys and knits embellished
with fine cashmere.
In contrast, the Sophisticated line presents a range of essentials, with plays on cuts and necklines for a more feminine
look. Delicate graphics and neutral colours combine with water prints and tone-on-tone floral themes with silken looks.
Sweats with "hand-made style" wool embroidery. High-quality thread and maximum lightness to enhance the fabric.
The mixture of smooth and braided textures. Light-woven embroidery. The application of pearls and loop buttons on fleece
and woollen clothing. Amongst jackets, the melange sweatshirt with synthetic fur lining and the reversible nylon +
synthetic fur jacket. Black Label is the label that shouldn't be missed by those suffering nostalgia for Walkmans with
headphones and roller skates with the rubber braking pad at the front, if you really must.
JEANS MAN WOMAN FW 08-09
Much time has passed since Franklin&Marshall first had to point out that "the holes, damage and washes of its jeans
are particularities of the clothes and not design faults". Now, as then, these treatments dominate, but classic denim
for all occasions is by no means excluded from the collection. Today, more than ever, customization is the rule of
thumb which is why our labels have been completely redesigned to make each piece of clothing immediately recognisable
as Franklin&Marshall, with a new triangular, leather back-pocket label that flaps flag-like with movement, guaranteeing
maximum originality and recognition.
A complete collection for its cuts, colours and models, ranging from the skinny jean to the classic and everlasting
button-up comfortable jean which is easy-to-wear with the hems rolled up, '50s and '60s style.
